Just returned from the Atom dinner hosted by the factory. Food was excellent. Starters was a large platter on each table with 2 meat terrines (meat loaf), salmon terrine, assorted cheeses, figs, sun dried tomatoes, chutney etc with assorted breads. Very tasty with white and red wine on the tables and beer and cider in the barrel. There were numerous round tables and ther was a bit of an undignified rush to find a table with someone you new (or not) etc!
Julie and I were on the same table as John H and Mrs Saunders - I didn't know anyone else although they were all very friendly. It was quite noisy as the room (wokshop) had been stripped of pretty much everything apart from the completed car that had been built during the day, lurking in the corner.
Following the starters, we were served the hog roast along with mixed salads, cous cous, barbequed chicken skewers and venison sausages etc which was very good.
The food was all very tasty and to a high standard.
Simon then made a speech and Tom gave outsome awards for - Oldest car (Ben Yeats), car with most bling (John Hamilton), most miles - John LLoyd, most travelled to Atom X (officially Calscot, but he cheated and flew not drove!) a Greek gentleman who drive all the way from Greece.
