AtomFest Coin Design Competition



Contest Rules
  • Designs will be translated into a 3-d relief, like the 2007 front side image shown above
  • Size - Coin has a 2 inch (51 mm) outside diameter
  • Eligibility - There is no restriction on who may submit designs for the coin.
  • Anonymous Competition - Contestants may make submissions to me by PM or e-mail only. Do not post your artwork on the Forum
  • Deadline - Submissions will be accepted until January 30, 2009
  • Format - Files must be submitted in generally accepted graphic format such as AI, CDR, JPEG, PNG, etc.
  • All Designs - Will be converted as needed to 3-D relief and presented on the voting thread with no indication of the artist
  • Judging - Will be by blind voting on the Forum and will take place during February, 2009
  • The Winner - Will be announced in March, 2009
  • 3rd Party Artwork - Photographs, logos and any other third party material included in any design must be accompanied by a written approval of it's owner.
  • Prizes - Contest winner will receive five (5) coins and an AtomFest 'Coin' tee shirt
  • All submissions shall become the property of AtomFest Promotions, LLC upon receipt.

Someone get a poll going I'm sure it would win hands down.  If not a coin how about a T-Shirt commemorating our 1st President.

I liked the simplicity of the original coin so my suggestion would be to keep the same theme and maybe have a side view.

Here's my feeble attempt to show what I mean

I would do the relief as a 3/4 front view. Except show the wings.

 Bolus,can you try the car on top of Hallett ^ ?  (for giggles)  The Hallett background messes with the top profile of the Atom too much,in my eyes :o
